Volunteer Projects 2022 & 2023
Volunteer projects continue to be an a tremendous strength of our association. Your board and management work together providing an opportunity for residents to connect with one another while cultivate neighborly relationships. These community projects enhance the beauty and character of Mission Estates and they also strengthen community relations with Sarasota County and local agencies.
Over the past two years, residents have continued to be instrumental making every day improvements enjoyed bay us all. We have a welcoming team ready to greet new owners with important information while offering assistance in settling into their new homes. We have decorating teams who showcase our front entrance during our holiday seasons. We have beautification and technical teams who provide fresh plantings, spread new mulch, assist with our irrigations systems, repair plumbing and electrical, do welding repairs, pick up debris after storms, and schedule neighborhood Flaming Fridays and picnics to name just a few.
Our teams latest accomplishments also include working with Sarasota County and industry professionals to adopt proper buffer zone regulations, (the video is on our website), and initiated a Crime Prevention Watch Program with Sarasota Count law enforcement. In addition, our volunteers spent a great deal of time studying out rust problems. This information was recently published for our residents.
Did you know the Mission Estates has over 50 residents who’ve volunteered in the past two years alone? We are very thankful for all these efforts and the commitment these residents continue to make in our neighborhood.
